Fake Pilot emerged from an unexpected inspiration—a vintage ZSh-5 helmet from the Cold War era. This unique artifact, discovered in an antique store in Stockholm's Old Town, became the alter ego and creative spark for our founder, Mattias Lindberg. Since 2000, the helmet has symbolized the bold, innovative spirit behind our work.
What began as a chance meeting evolved into a creative partnership. When Mattias approached Andreas Lindholm seeking employment, the response was unconventional—a suggestion to collaborate instead. Combining Mattias' expertise in motion design with Andreas' visionary concepts, they forged a partnership built on shared creativity and mutual respect.
